Create Separation, Re-Attack
Create Separation, Re-Attack
The player starts toward the middle, builds speed using crossovers around the cones (simulating picking up speed through the neutral zone before crossing the blue line), then sells an inside fake and takes the puck wide (the stick on the ice in the video represents a stationary or slow-moving defender).
From there, the player attacks the net with before making a hard cut back / escape toward the wall to create some time and space.
On the second attack, the player uses a quick fake back to the outside and a soft touch under a stickhandling stick toward the middle (simulating avoiding a defender’s poke check) before finishing on net.
The big emphasis here is selling your fakes, underhandling the puck, changing pace, and not rushing the play.
Create separation, escape pressure, then attack again when defenders are off-balance.
@CSiwek10 does a great job here showing patience, deception, and a clean second attack… though ideally we don’t need to hear the wrister smoke the glass behind the net 😂
