How Tagging Works in HPC
Tags are how you get your content seen — and how you find the good stuff fast.
Every post in HPC can be tagged by category. Here's what each one means and when to use it:
#drill — Skill work, training clips, drills, coaching breakdowns. Tag it if someone can learn from it.
#highlight — Game footage, big plays, showcase clips. Tag it if it's something worth watching.
#hockeyiq — Reading the ice, positioning, decision-making, mental game. Tag it if it's about how you think, not just what you do.
To tag a post, add the hashtag anywhere in the body of your post — just type #drill, #highlight, or #hockeyiq and it's done.
These tags feed directly into the menu on the left. When you tap #drill, you see every drill posted in HPC. Same for highlights and IQ.
The more members tag their posts, the better the library gets for everyone.
Quick reference:
Training clip → #drill
Game footage → #highlight
Positioning/IQ breakdown → #hockeyiq
Not sure? Browse All Tags in the left menu.
You're also encouraged to go deeper with additional tags. The three above are your foundation, but if your post is specifically about shooting, skating, edgework, one-timers, board battles, or anything else — add those too.
The more specific you get, the easier it is for players working on that exact skill to find your content.
There's no limit. A post can be #drill #skating #edgework and that's perfect.
Tag your posts. Build the library.
