This drill combines rush deception, offensive reads, passing, and finishing. The player starts high in the zone with a backward crossover, receives a pass, and immediately pulls the puck across the body to sell an attack toward the net. After driving downhill and evaluating the initial option, the player cuts back and finds the late attacker arriving high in the slot. The puck is then returned to the original player for a second attack. On the finish, the player fakes the shot before pushing the puck to the forehand side—right-handed players finish to the right of their stick, while left-handed players finish to the left. The key detail is making the shot fake believable.
