BODY POSITIONING (Stick Lift + Reverse Mohawk)
BODY POSITIONING (Stick Lift + Reverse Mohawk)
1. Scan + close space
• Identify puck + opponent’s stick lane.
• Get inside the lane early so you arrive through their hands, not around them.
2. Win the inside line (body first)
• Angle in so your hips/shoulders take the middle.
• Goal: your chest and hips are between the opponent and the puck.
3. Stick lift side: hands first
• Don’t chase the blade make contact on the opponent’s hands.
4. Reverse Mohawk: build the wall
• Rotate into the reverse Mohawk so your body becomes the barrier. Use your lead knee to make stick contact
• Keep puck protected by building a wall (Your body should be between the puck and defender)
